In 1996, after 20 years of experience in the coffee roasting and blending sector, Alberto Castellari founded Rekico in Faenza, Emilia-Romagna. From selection to processing and providing top-notch service, the company’s goal is to offer high-quality coffee, guaranteed by the expertise of those involved in the life of Rekico.
Today, Rekico satisfies its customers at the bar, at home, or in the office, thanks to a constantly evolving product range that includes coffee, tea, herbal teas, and coffee machines.

Selection
The Rekico Master Roaster's journey begins with selecting freshly harvested green beans, understanding the origins, and choosing the most attentive crops. A direct, short-supply chain selection ensures the best results by personally overseeing every stage of processing.
Importing
Selection means identifying the best quality and ensuring constant availability while always preserving the same aroma and flavor notes.
Once in Faenza, Rekico’s operational and managerial center, the coffee undergoes the roasting process and blending creations that have distinguished the brand since 1996.
Processing
Roasting
Here, the game is all about preserving the bean’s excellence and translating it into the various flavors and formats in which coffee can be prepared.
Sight and smell guide the roasting process, where the choice of time and temperature makes all the difference in the final result. The goal is to respect the natural characteristics of the coffee beans. Compromising their integrity for fast production leads to poor blends.
This is why Rekico chooses to roast each origin separately: it’s the only way to preserve the beans' natural aroma and protect their organoleptic properties.
Dedicated roasting is the key to a coffee that retains its natural qualities. But that’s not all.
For perfect taste uniformity, the roasting and cooling processes must gently impact the bean. Rekico achieves this through air roasting with indirect heating, where the heat consistently and evenly affects the entire product.
Forced air is our choice for the cooling phase, reducing moisture absorption that could flatten and dull the coffee’s aroma and taste.
Blending
At Rekico, blending occurs after roasting. This allows each origin to be roasted according to its specific characteristics, resulting in a more uniform product in terms of flavor and fragrance.
Once the single origins are roasted, they enter the “room of secrets,” where all the recipes for Rekico blends are kept.
How did we arrive at these blends? Through study and tasting, with the goal of serving great-tasting coffee that meets consumers' preferences and highlights special notes that delight coffee lovers.
